Hi *,
I want to introduce a RedHat 7.2 i386 PC to a
network with a DHCP-Server (DSL-Router).
Will the following work?
Edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 as
follows:
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes
Set the hostname and restart:
hostname mypc
reboot
# or /etc/init.d/network
restart
I have not done this before and I have no chance to
test it before.
If you have done a config like this before
please give my a reply.
