usb mouse not working after recompiling kernel

After recompiling the kernel on my toshiba laptop (RH9), I can't get the usb mouse to work. Doing an lsmod, it seems like all the things are in place except I noticed when doing an lsmod with the stand RH kernel, the input module also has hid as a referring module. (lsmod on recompiled kernel) k

evolution panel icon

I upgraded to evolution 1.4 on RH9, but now when I click on the Evolution email icon in the KDE panel I get "Could not find service 'Internet/redhat-email.desktop'" I tried bringing up the properties for the button by right clicking on it but nothing happens. Other than removing the icon and makin
