I am installing RH 8.0 as a web server with Apache, PHP and the mySQL option
available in 8.0 and was wondering if someone could give me some partition
recommendations for this type of webserver setup. I have a 60 gig hard
drive. Please help and thanks in advance.
Does anyne know anything about setting up a remote access server in linux,
if so could you point me to some good tutorials or reading materials. BTW, i

I have client windows machines running win XP pro and when we leave them on
over night it seems that the users lose the connection to the samba server
and lose their roaming profiles. Is there a time limit to keep users
connected in samba? If it goes idle for so long is it supposed to
disconne
I have just connected my Dell powervolt 110T tape backup to my server which
is running RH 7.3. How do I make this thing work? This is the first time i
have ever tried to install a new piece of hardware on a linux system. Can

I ahve a samba server running as my primary domain controller for a windows
2000 network. Everything seemed to be in order so i tried to connect one of
the win2k clients to the network. When i did this i ran the network ID
wizard and everything went okay all of the way up to the restart. When i
in the samba config file when i am setting the host allow how do i put in a
range ex. 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.10 and then another range from
192.169.0.20 tp 192.168.0.30? and is there a way to block all other hosts?

if I am creating a group share, for the ownership how do i tell it all users
of this group? Right now i have just created this directory and the
ownership box (kde user manager) says User: root Group: root. I am assuming
a change the group to whatever my group share, but user would have to be a

I have just compiled and installed apache, but i did not use an rpm or the
config that comes with RH 7.3. i was wondering how to make it run as a
service in RH 7.3. I have already looked under the service config menu, but

When i installed RH 7.3 I must of accidentally clicked off the networked
worstation checkbox on the customization screen. Is there anyway I can add
this now? If so how?
