Can not change security level after installation

I installed Linux 8.0 on my i86 machine with security level set to High. Now I want to modify the setting so that it will not block all ports. I used the security level configuration to change to "customize" to open up WWW and some other TCP ports. It allows me to change on the configuration, but it will not save the setting I made. When I open configuration again, it is still set to High. I tried at least 10 times now using exact same methods as described in the Customization Guide.   What is going on here ?
