I have some left-over NTFS partitions on our server (I know, I know).
Anyway, I have these mounted and set up as a Samba share but they refuse
to accept any password from a windows box or accept "guest."
Any ideas?

1. Does anyone have 1.4 working RELIABLY with KDE? When I had it
installed it would crash frequently.
2. How do I get it to work with the local file in contrast to having to
IMAP or Pop3 the mail? There is an option for receiving via standard
Unix spool but, inexplicably, I cannot get it to work.
Works for me:
1. Download Java 1.4.2SOURCE and expand it. There's no install to be
done.
2. In /usr/lib/mozilla-1.4/plugins/ create a simlink:
"ln -s
//j2re1.4.2/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so"
That's it.

I've gone from KDE to Gnome and back to KDE again. The newest release is
a bit unstable until all of the preferences are FULLY configured. For
example, I found that apps crash until you re-configure the icon size
from "default" to the correct value. I'm still getting a couple of

Apparently 2.4.20-18.9, as compiled by Red Hat, does not include support
for NTFS mounts. I downloaded the source but I'm lost. Can someone point
me in the right direction?

I miss that little double-screen in the WinXP system tray that shows
packets being sent or received over the LAN. Is there a KDE equivalent?

I hope top posts are OK in this list. Anyway, the solution is rather
strange.
Add > Application Button > System Tools > Red Hat Icon.
Push the button which will put the original applet in the Systray.
Delete the (green) button that you added. This will leave the "checker"
icon in the systray.
