It does work when the laptop are on the lan. The only
reason I did not think it was a firewall setting was
because I am able to get remote XDMCP connections
through VPN to HP-UX systems with no problems.

connect to our network. These users are unable to
connect to a Red Hat Linux system with exceed. However,
they have no problem

I am trying to configure one NIS master server that
serves multiple NIS domains. We have this environment
configured on HP-UX, however I am having problems doing
it in Red Hat Linux. I am able to get the environment
to work if I do not have any NIS slave servers. I
