Best supported optical mouse?

Hi, I'm planning to buy an optical mouse (USB or PS/2) to use under Redhat. I can go with either Logitech (MX 300/500) or Microsoft (IntelliEye?). In your opinion, which optical mouse has the best linux support? One of the must-have feature to me is the scrolling wheel so I want to make sure

I have used both logitech and microsoft USB mice with scroll wheels- no trouble in kde or gnome. Just make sure to select MS intellimouse usb during installation.
