Well, excuse me while I just duck below the keyboard to wipe a few fairly
sizeable globs of egg off my cheek.

And before I start I want to that everyone whp has offered suggestions for help
in this issue - to Steve and Steve, Bernhard, Hidong, Craig, Uncle Meat \:-) and
any others who offered help.

Its funny how the *most important features* of a system, when they dont work
right, blind one to the most likely cause and in this case I went through all
the routines of updating this and that, checking out gotchas and How-Tos.
Making the necessary alterations along the way, but I forgot to check that what
the How_to said to do was (a) complete, and (b) entirely accurate.

You see the Printing How-To explains how to connect to a JetDirect card for
printing to a HP LaserJet on ethernet and provides the following:

lj-5|remote-hplj:\
               :lp=/dev/null:sh:\
               :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lj-5:\
               :rm=printer.name.com:rp=raw:

Which I edited to:

##PRINTTOOL3## REMOTE POSTSCRIPT 1200x1200 a4 {} PostScript Default {}
lj-5|remote-hplj:\
        :\:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lpj-5:\
        :\:\
        :mx#0:\
        :sh:\
        :rm=192.168.6.8:\
        :rp=lj-5|remote-hplj:\
        :\:\
        :if=/var/spool/lpd/lpj-5/filter:

What I didn't check was the aliases! the specs indicate lj-5 and remote-hplj
and on the RH51 box these worked fine. What I had to do to my one to print on
RH61 was add lp| at the start and she worked like, well you know what I mean...

Something so small causing so much frustration.
