If the administrator of this list may think that this is a too dificult
question for this list, please let me know other RHlinux lists where I can
get more answers about this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Ramon.

Any other hints ?
I've trying things but it keeps giving me the error. The only way for not
getting this prompt error, is to comment the line at the boot file.
Thanks,
Ramon.

I installed shadow passwords a long ago, and apparently, the login.defs
seems to be correct. Although I have to say that this week we had a problem
with the shadow and etc/passwords, but now it's fixed. Should I restart
Linux and see if problem presists CREATE_HOME problems persists?
Thanks,
Did you install shadow passwords recently? Or the login.defs file in etc
got corrupted.
That would be my first guess (err...first and second). ;)

Hi all,
all of a sudden, one day I telnet to my linux machine, and it gives me an
error about 'CREATE_HOME' :
Red Hat Linux release 5.1 (Manhattan)
Kernel 2.0.36 on an i586
configuration error - unknown item 'CREATE_HOME' (notify administrator)
Any hints to fix this ?
Thanks in advance,
Ramon
