All what you have said is correct I have installed R.H 6.2 on my Ibm Machine Dual boot With win 98 for 8 times . Best thing to have a swap partition nearly equal to your ram then boot partition of 16 or 20 meg will do the rest can be left for root partition [ grow to fill ]. To read a book ab

ok, i think you were on the right track, you just made a few typos... first off, you're right, you do need 3 partitions. you called them: \boot \root \swap but they >should< be named (in corresponding order to the names above): /boot / (swap partitions don't have a name, err, mount point rather)

I really don't have any idea of wat's gone wrong with the partitioning with disk druid. But something i want to tell u more is that, the mountpoint for the windows partitions is 'not set'. Is there any problem to leave it 'not set'? __
