Connecting to the internet via the CLI (problems)

I have been able to connect to the internet prior to 7.2. I have been using RP3 applet and tried to use that this time. I cannot connect to the internet, at least I cannot access any pages. RP3/debug connects, but the name resolution is screwed up so i cannot access anything. I have tried every
