I have been successfully using James Ralston's patch to util-linux to get CryptoAPI and CryptoLoop working under a Red Hat Linux 9 system using the errata 9 kernel base. However, it appears that the Rawhide kernel (2.4.22 NPTL) implements a CryptoAPI and CryptoLoop implementation that is not compatible with the util-linux patches. I really need to get 2.4.22 working with Crypto-enabled util-linux.
