Hi all,

I have been fooling around with a Dynalink L10BC pcmcia NIC today. The box
says it's Linux compatible and drivers should be provided, but the fact that
Linux is mentioned between Windows ME and 2000 made me somewhat suspicious. Of
course (?) there are no Linux drivers on the disk, on the contrary, Linux is
not mentioned anywhere.
The card ID is recognized by the pcmcia service, but the card is also said to
be unsupported.
I couldn't find anything on the net about this card, but it seems it's
cousin, L10C is supported. I tried to get the L10BC recognized by adding an
entry for it in /etc/pcmcia/config, but that didn't work.
After work I visited a friend, who by chance owns a L10C, which I inserted in
my Libretto, and voila, the card was instantly brought up and configured.
 So here are my questions:
Does anybody have experience with a Dynalink L10BC?
How should I proceed to get this card up and running (which entries of which
files could I tweak, assuming this is possible at all)? Or in more general
terms, which files are involved in the recognition of pcmcia devices? There
seems to be no entry for either of the forementioned cards in
/usr/share/kudzu/pcitable. I am a bit surprised I can't find any reference to
the supported L10C (nor its ID) except in /etc/pcmcia/config, since I can't
imagine these specs are compiled into the modules or anywhere else.
I hope this story is not too fuzzy, I'm a little tired you see ;).

                                        Bye,

                                        Leonard.
