I just switched over from SuSE to RH 7.0 and am having a hard time getting LVM to run. The SuSE kernels have LVM support built in but RH's don't. The LVM HowTo section on adding support to 2.2.x kernels hasn't been completed. There is mention that a patch must be applied and a website is given. I've tried applying the patch but I always get at least one hunk failing. If I try going forward and ignore the error the LVM block devices don't show up. Has anyone managed to get the 2.2.17 RH kernel patched and working with LVM? If so, how did you do it???
