USR 5610 PCI works great for me. Using it with hylafax and works perfect. Driver is in the kernel so no problems with hardware recognition. Andy Judge My 2c on this. If you have a bad phone line (like here in rural Australia), try a modem like the Maestro Woomera. It has special circuitry
