Hi,

I've been using an external modem for some time now, using the (I guess
'standard') PPP
scripts (ppp-on, ppp-on-dialer, etc.) and things have been working
fairly well.
The biggest issue is that at times, when the PPP connection is killed,
the modem won't
hang up. PPP is down, but the OH led is still lit.
I get around this by powering off the modem.

NOW....
I'm attempting to use an internal modem. BIG PROBLEMS!

First:
Is there any good docs out there for setting up an internal modem? I'm
using
isapnptools, but it doesn't see it. I tried the default settings
listed in
        the modem's manual; no luck.

Second:
If I ever get this puppy running, and the OH sticks like the external
one did,
what can I do? Is there anything out there that will *FORCE* the modem
to
        hangup?
Better yet, is there anything that might show me what the "lights" are
doing?
(like maybe an X interface that shows OH, RD, and TD)????

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

Joe
