Hi, I'm trying to find a macro recorder or macro language that lets me for example insert predefined text into text editors with a few keystrokes (something like CTRL-MOW -> insert "Mediterranean Overflow Water"). I'm using KDE 3.1.2 on RH9.
I have searched all documentation I could think of, and the only hint is that khotkeys is supposed to do something like that. But I can't figure out how to use it. All the examples I can find tell me how to assign hotkeys to programmes, but nothing how to insert text or do other repetitive tasks that involve keystrokes and/or mouse clicks. Can anybody please show me how to start or where to find the documentation for khotkeys, or if there is another macro programme?
