Hey everyone,
I need some help with x-windows. I'm using RedHat 7.1 and when
I do a startx the system goes starts to go into Gnome, gets a grey
screen and freezes. The error in /var/log is this:
kernel: mtrr: base(0xf8000000) is not aligned on a size(0x12c000)
boundary
checking out /proc/mtrr is this:
reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size= 256MB: write-back, count=1
reg01: base=0x0ff00000 ( 255MB), size= 1MB: uncachable, count=1
reg02: base=0xf8000000 (3968MB), size= 64MB: write-combining, count=2
Has anyone seen this before? I really appreciate any help you can offer.
