Greetings.

Ever since I've upgraded to any release of glibc-2.0.7, no version of Netscape
will run on my RH 5.0 system (64 MB RAM, 686) for very long without completely
locking up the computer (not just XF86--the whole shebang). I upgraded glibcs
because I use other programs which want newer versions than 2.0.6.x, which gets
along fine with my Netscape (4.0.4). I even upgraded to the latest glibc
version of NS to get around this problem, then upgraded to the latest release
of glibc, but I'm still having the problem.

Since I use NS for the Web and my
home page, I'd like to find a solution to this problem. The problem has always
occured when I was using the mouse to resize the NS window, or scroll down it.
None of my other browsers have this problem, but then again, none of them are
very stable or feature-rich.. I know that if I downgrade to glibc2.0.6 and the
earlier Communicator, I won't have this problem, but this hardly seems like a
long-term solution.

Any ideas? I'm sick of rebooting my computer and having to fsck every friggin'
1GB partition....

Thanks much.

Jeff
