I have just gotten my first RAID, a IBM ServerRAID.

My system is so old (wish I had the money to buy new stuff) that I
can't boot from a CD, and therefore I have to use the commandline
configuration tool (ipssend). I have found som documentation for this
tool, but it doesn't explain that much, and I have some problems.

I have deleted all the existing logical drives, and added 1 new
logical drive. But I have two questions.

When I added the logical drive, it told me that autosynchronization
was not supported, and that I needed to synchronize the logical drive
before I can use it. How do I do that, I tried with ipssend autosync
command, but it gave me this error:

The physical drive state mus be online (ONL) or rebuild (RNL)

What do I do about that, I'm a little afraid about those states and
I'm not sure what to do here. Shall I just use the ipssend setstate
command, and what should I set it to?

When I tried to add another logical drive, I got this error message:

The device at channel 3, SCSI ID 0 is not available for configuration

How do I make it available?
