This is now the second time I've re-installed RH7.3 from scratch on this
server and it's driving me bonkers. It has three drives in it which are set to
be / (40GB), /var (2GB), and /home (60GB). Everything runs fine, I configure
the drives the way I need them (the first time I installed RH, I used fdisk,
last night I used diskdruid), the install runs with no problems, create boots
disk, everything is fine. When I reboot it after the install is completed,
suddenly it's trying to mount /1, /var1 and /home1 and obviously that fails.
Where did those '1's come from?? (this is booting with or without the boot
disk)

So the first time this happened, I figured it's something I did, so I redid
it again last night (the first time was a few weeks ago - I just let it sit
till now). And to my surprise, same thing. What gives? I just used those
same CD's to install a different server on sunday and I didn't have any
problems. Why is this particular machine doing this?
