Here is the story: I use RH8 with squid to cache http requests for a large wireless network. I have added a satellite link to the network (in addition to the T1) I what to use the satellite link solely to seed cache and poll for updates in the HTTP requests (cache files of Squid). Does anyone know if I can configure RH/Squid/? to route through the satellite for this task. Is there a way to have the request made via satellite first and if the satellite doesnt reply it will go though the T1. I was told I may need layer 4 switching to accomplish this, any thoughts would be very helpful.
