Assuming you already have a clean 2.0.33 kernel in /usr/src, do the following:
# cd /usr/src
# gzip -dc patch-2.0.34pre14.gz | patch -p0 -s
The only output would be a
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
As I just found out:
cd /usr/src
patch -p0 patch-2.0.33pre14
