wouldn't change anything if you bought it, because the cd's contain the
buggy version - you need to use up2date or update the rpms yourself to be
sure to have the recent version

In that case, I suggest
Use up2date or apt (not part of stock distribution, but free) to apply
your updates. It will take care of dependencies for you.
The additional packages you need (if you want to do it the hard way ;)
