wouldn't change anything if you bought it, because the cd's contain the
buggy version - you need to use up2date or update the rpms yourself to be
sure to have the recent version

use up2date. u need to run rhn_register first. after
that, run this:
u2pdate apache
deps will be resolved automatically this way.

Do You Yahoo!?
Yaho
you need the openssl package. I sometimes use
rpmfind.net and query for a certain file that I am
looking for. maybe you can try that.

Yup. Try the search function at rpmfind.
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/

In that case, I suggest
Use up2date or apt (not part of stock distribution, but free) to apply
your updates. It will take care of dependencies for you.
The additional packages you need (if you want to do it the hard way ;)
are:
ftp://updates.redhat.com/7.1/en/os/i386/mod_bandwidth-2.0.3-2.i386.rpm
ftp://updates.redhat.

use a recent mod_ssl version that fits (check ftp.redhat.com for it)
should be mod_ssl-2.8.7-4
