Win2k is VPN server (Microsoft VPN), so client must be also win machine (win2k or
winXP) or you can use stand alone VPN cl
cipe. no kernel monkeying. comes with redhat distro. for windoze get

the only gotcha i hit was the need to manually start the DKW (cipe)
adapter via the win2k services control panel. write me directly if

I'm
using RH8 with an updated kernel 2.4.19. The RH8 kernel had some issues with
pptp
and mppe. After getting the new kernel installed it fired up no problem.
pppd
2.4.1.pppoe2
pptpd-1.1.3
kernel-2.4.19
linux-2.4.19-openssl-0.9.6b-mppe.patch
that's
all you should need.
