That depends entirely on your requirements from the version. I'm
happily running a server with RH 5.2 and kernel 2.2.5 as well as a desktop
with RH 7 and kernel 2.2.16.

We're still quite happy running RH 6.2 at work on a half-dozen systems, and
I suspect so are many, many other users. I don't know what the official
release support termination date is though. I
