I am trying to network Redhat with a windows98 machine. Using the windows
machine as a gateway. Enabling full access to files and printers for the
linux machine.
The linux machine has no modem;both have network cards

What are your trying to do? I have found it easiest to
work on one thing at a time. There are plenty of people
on the list that will help you if you can't get it to work
after reading the howtos. You can use your Linux box to
connect to your ISP and share the connection with the
windows box. Y
Try the How-tos and mini-howtos: there are several depending on what version of
windows my are running, and
what you want to achieve on the network. I'm not sure that the manual is much use: in
my experience, the
howtos and the net are much better information suurces.
