I just installed the redhat 9.0 and I'm facing this strange problem - when
Iopen an application, say the gnome-terminal, if I minimize it the
application window disappear, instead of keep standing in the toolbar. I
checked that the application's process still keeps alive - it wasn't

are open?

Andrew,
It sounds like you might need to add the the window list applet to
your gnome panel. Right slick on your gnome panel (down at the bottom of
your screen usually), select, add to panel, select utility and then
select window list.
