Hello every body, Because I was unable to restart my RH5.0, init did not wanted to do the job any more (after trying during 5 days !!!). I decided to make a backup and to make an upgrade to RH5.1. So I started to upgrade in FTP mode, that one started after a small problem with the name server, since it seems that we have to use the IP address for the FTP server, the symbolic nema does not works !!! Anyway, after a while the install stopped because a partition was full !! No way to leave properly. So I decided to redimension my partitions and to make a full installation from scratch. But the "filesystem setup" broke because it did not recognize the disk hda, it only sees the disk hdb, however the fdisk works fine on hda, all my partitions are here. Again I have to stop the installation. So I tried to use my old RH5.0 boot diskettes, fortunetly, I was able to start the installation (wonderfull !!). However, at the half of the installation, that one stopped, because, it was not possible to install the file linuxconf-1.11r11-2rh.i386.rpm. So again I had to stop the installation. In fact it is not surprising that the RH 5.0 diskettes do not work, the file linuxconf is new and did not exist in the 5.0. So I am here, unable to restart a RH machine !!!!
