Indeed, RH is increasingly going the way of MS, which of course it parallels (commercial software distributor) and, dare I say, tries to emulate in some ways. So RH wants to make their installations as easy as possible, thus we have things like RPM and Disk "Druid". To the original poster: that sucks, sorry dude.
