Hello List...

Typing 'date' as a normal user always shows a difference of 4 hours than when the same 
command is used when logged in as root.

Nevertheless, for both the user and root logins, hwclock returns the same time.

Even if I set the system time to that of the hardware clock, there's always this 
divergence of 4 hours (whether I set it as root, or su'ing from the user account and 
typing /sbin/hwclock --hctosys)

I'm presuming some time-difference regional setting problem, but both accounts use 
CEST time.

I've probably messed up some setting trying to understand how the clock works... I'd 
really appreciate it if someone could help me out to get root and the users back in 
sync.
