Im trying to install MySQL(mysql-3.23.54a-4.i386.rpm), but it bombs out on
package dependencies. I was able to located all of the packages and install
them except for the below items:
perl-DBD-msql-mysql-1.2215-1.0.7.i386.rpm
perl-DBI-1.32-1.0.100.i686.rpm
perl-Data-ShowTable-3.3-2.i386.rpm
When I try to install these I then get a dependency error for Data-Show
error: failed dependencies:
perl >= 5.00503 is needed by perl-Data-ShowTable-3.3-2
Perl is install, and from the RPM doc it states that I need to have
/usr/bin/perl as the location of the perl Binaries. Both perl -v and
/usr/bin/perl -v are working fine, both return the normal perl version info,
Im running v5.6.1. Why doesnt this meet the packages needs? How do I
resolve this dependency? I have already tried forcing it but its had no
effect on it.
