Hello all,
I've asked before and had no answer. So, here I go again. I just want to
change my default LANG environment environment from pt_BR.UTF-8 to
pt_BR. I've tried changing /etc/sysconfig/i18n and it worked for the
text mode consoles, but it didn't work for applications on X, like
xterm, etc
Fluxbox loads very slowly when started with
export LC=UTF-8
export LC_ALL=UTF-8
or whatever redhat default installs with, so when I do
export LC=C
export LC_ALL=CLL=C
it loads instantly, before there was like a 5 min wait, how
can I change it so
export LC=C

Hi,
I've looked for a solution to this and have not been able to find one.
Running Redhat 8, I am getting these messages when running MRTG.
Malformed UTF-8 character (unexpected non-continuation byte 0x20,
immediately after start byte 0xcf) at
/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/../lib/mrtg2/locales_mr

Hi,
After I upgraded to redhat 8, I find that acroread does not work. It
gives error message like 'does not support UTF-8' and then core dump. I
searched the list archive and changed
LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
in /etc/sysconfig/i18n to
LANG="en_US.ISO-8859-1"

Hi All,
I have just installed two machines with RH8.0. While i'm quite pleased
with the visual aspects of it, i'm having a few issues apparently related
with RH 8.0 now using UTF-8.
I use PINE to read my email, and it doesn't handle UTF-8 well, even with a
patch i found appli
