Hello , After fresh 7.1 install I downloded and manually (no rhn) upgraded the 7.1 machine, I did not yet upgrade the kernel. Now when I do a "shutdown -h now" on the box, it goes through the normal processes ok, but when it gets to the "unmounting md devices," the machine goes into a "runaway," (losts of hex type numbers spewing across the screen) forever, unles I power it down. When powering back up, everything is normal. Note that it does not do this with a reboot "shutdown -r now"
Has anyone ever experienced this and if so, what was the actual problem.
