my linux ip is 192.168.1.1 and so is dns...and gateway
i have modem in com2(ttyS1) and eth0 <--192.168.1.1
i have 3 client 192.168.1.2 -- 192.168.1.4
i use redhat 5.0 and diald 0.16.14..
i try to copy dial.conf, connect from usr/doc/diald-0.16.14to their
place...
i edit the necessary line

cd /etc/sysconfig
edit the network file and comment out both gateway entries.
Then type this;
/etc/rc.d/init.d/network stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/network start

script that you copied from /usr/doc/diald* to /etc/ppp to have

should i build new ip like 192.168.x.x ???

cd /usr/doc/diald*
cp connect /etc/ppp
cp diald.conf /etc
vi /etc/diald
comment out the fifo line, change the /dev/ line
change the remote ip and local ip settings
add your local diald IP to /etc/hosts with a name to itelse route will
bring the link up
vi /etc/p
anyone can help me to build ppp on demand.?
I did it by used FreeBSD ppp -auto -alias.
but now my machine is already Linux installed (redhat 5.0)
I heardthere diald and masq.the masq I can do it...but diald ??
