So I'm stumped on this one. I'm trying to connect to ftp.mcafee.com, problem is that I get a connection refused if I do it from the Linux box that is the firewall. If I try it from a windows box behind the firewall it works fine
I ran a tcpdump to see if it would help I'm pasting it in the email Working Windows PC 20:07:52.332438 h24-68-28-169.vc.shawcable.net.3443 > 161.69.2.23.ftp: S 447684642:447684642(0) win 16384 <mss 1460,nop,nop,nop,nop> (DF) 20:07:52.405912 161.69.2.23.ftp > pc10.3443: S 2431919143:2431919143(0) ack 447684643 win 17520 <mss 1460> 20:07:52.406401 h24-68-28-169.vc.shawcable.net.3443 > 161.69.2.23.ftp: . ack 2431919144 win 17520 (DF) 20:07:52.467572 161.69.2.23.ftp > pc10.3443: P 1:54(53) ack 1 win 17520 20:07:52.572281 h24-68-28-169.vc.shawcable.net.3443 > 161.69.2.23.ftp: . ack 54 win 17467 (DF) Linux PC (firewall Connection refused) 20:06:34.448590 h24-68-28-169.vc.shawcable.net.49160 > 161.69.2.23.ftp: SWE 919083994:919083994(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,nop,nop,timestamp 223780545 0,nop,wscale 0> (DF) 20:06:34.497316 161.69.2.23.ftp > h24-68-28-169.vc.shawcable.net.49160: R 0:0(0) ack 919083995 win 5840 <mss 1460,nop,nop,timestamp 223780545 0,nop,wscale 0> I've tried passive mode and it doesn't make a difference, any ideas anyone? _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
