I use fetchyahoo (fetchyahoo.twizzler.org) to download mail from yahoo.

there's a plugin for connetcing it to Exchange to use calendars, etc, but
I'm not aware of any plugin to read Hotmail accounts...
maybe there is, but I think there isn't..

neither kmail nor evolution help you to do that
