Hi all,
I need to upgrade my system and got a generous offer from a local dealer.
Does anybody know if the combination of a Chaintec motherboard with a K6
processor doesn't work with both Redhat 4.2 and Win95? The MB (I don't know
the exact model off-hand) contains primary and secondary IDE, 2 serial, 1
parallel and one game port and accepts both PS2 and SDRAM (not
simultaneously). If there are any serious drawbacks with this combination,
I'd appreciate hearing about it.

I was forced to install win95 (kicking, biting and screaming) for professional
reasons and it refused to recognize my CDROM hooked up to an SB-compatible
sound card. Linux worked like a charm though, as did win3.1 (well, maybe not
like a charm, but it served its purpose).

TIA

Harold
