Maybe someone has an idea?
Recently started having a problem where
host $SHORTNAME works,
nslookup $SHORTNAME works,
but ping/ssh/ftp/rsync don't?
It works for some short hostnames consistently, but for other
hosts does not work.
Stopping nscd seems to fix the problem
