Hello
I got a brand new ibm eSeries 230 which i want to install linux on to make
it be a file server. It has a on-board scsi adapter and i need another
adaptec 2944UW FWD card to access an external raid bay. I deactivated the
internal scsi using the bios configuration menus.
when i boot on the rh72 cd, install stops while displaying the "loading
aicxxx driver" information box
if i deactivate the adaptec fwd card and reboot, the install process goes
on normally
if i try with a mandrake 8.0 it works fine with the fwd card activated
i also tried with a rh70 bood cd : same problem as with the rh72
it looks like the rh7x aic7xxx drivers doesn't like my configuration. for
various reasons i'd prefer install a rh72 on this box. How do i manage this
???
