where do I go for docs on where rpm looks for libraries to
link into an executable. In another (unanswered :( ) post I
asked about the glibc-2.2, actually 1.9x, version of glibc
on the pinstripe iso and the -ldb1 not found messages I get
shen trying to compile openssh using rpm -bb.

Frantically searching around I have found references to ldb
and ldb1 issues back in the RH 5.x to 6.x conversions
having to do with the src rpm being built on the older
machines and not working for the newer ones. I did not find
the resolution other than get a different src rpm.

I greped for ldb1 and got nothing I could make sense of, and
nothing at all in the usr/src/redhat tree. It appears that
there is no ldb or ldb1 in glibc 2.2 stuff and I have no
$*&@ idea what it is anyway so I don't know what to do to
fix it.

where is the compiler getting the instructions to include
the ldb1 stuff. Alternately, does any one have a source rpm
that will work for pinstripe?

I could really use some help here.

Bret
