Hello, I'm trying to use rup and rstatd to get a list of active RH9 systems and their status. The rstatd is running on the systems, and running rup <hostname> from a solaris box gives me the data I want. However, when I run rup <hostname> on a Linux box I immediately get back: RPC: Timed out.
According to Linux' rup manpage, this occurs if their is either "excessive network traffic" or if the rpc.statd failed on the target system. Neither of these is the case for me, as rup works just fine on the Sun box. So, anyone out there have any ideas?
