I have a 697C and use the gs option: -dDepletion=2
This is mentioned in the Driver Description of the printtool command which I
used to set up my printer.

I have a HP692C printer which uses too much ink while printing gs files
Anyone has any idea on what gs commands I should use to tune the ink usage ?
I've tried -rNxM but that's a scale down of the whole page ( I caught this
from a part ion the printing howto)
