Hello.
Would you please try the attached patch against
2.6.16.1+reiser4-for-2.6.16-1
Edward.
Edward, can you, please, put patch somewhere in ftp.namesys.com,
ftp://ftp.namesys.com/pub/tmp
earlier.
Joe, I saw machines with ECC hardware (both motherboards and memory
chips) with ECC disabled in BIOS. Check please, if it's enabled for your
machine.

Hi,
wrong bytes is not a big problem, reiser4 indeed counted them wrongly some
time ago, although it seems to be fixed already. the only serious problem
here is at the beginning of the 'CHECKING

Hi,
I have vanilla 2.6.15.4 kernel with reiser4-for-2.6.15-1.patch applied.
The machine is SMP with SCSI 17G drive formatted as reiser4.
The reiser4 works for /var/spool, with rate
new patches to fix it?

Thank you, it works!
I've just recompiled kernel and now / mounted on reiser4 with /tmp in
the same filesystem,
and pam_mktemp works without problems.

I have not succeeded with integrating reiser4 pam_mktemp.
From one side I recompiled kernel with reiser4 patches modified to
return ENOTTY for attempt to deal with attributes, as tmpfs does.
Pam_mktemp does not work after this. So I returned to the kernel with
original Namesys' patches.
Then by
/getting attributes call, as it tmpfs does.
But reiser4 returns 'ENOSYS' (Function not implemented).
Will you accept patch changing this code to 'ENOTTY'?

I have a problem with reiser4.
Recently I have installed Altlinux
saw, that the problem in pam_mktemp, by commenting out
string
# account required pam_mktemp.so
in file /etc/pam.d/system_auth the problem get fixed.
Also it get fixed if I create some non-reiser4 partition to place /tmp on it.

So how about this deadlock? Is there any expectation about fix for it?
