http://www.creativeclass.org http://www.memphismanifesto.com/main.html The Memphis Manifesto will be the definitive report on transforming cities that want to compete for the Creative Class -- young, mobile professionals -- whose presence, or lack thereof, is helping to determine the future of American cities. The Manifesto will be the product of the historic gathering of the Creative 100 in Memphis, Tennessee, for a two-day Summit where they will share their insights, experiences and thoughts on business, culture, design, society, education and science. The interlocking questions facing cities today will be answered by the Memphis Manifesto: how can cities eager for economic development attract creative people and how can cities become magnets for talent? The manifesto will provide answers that are critical to the future of cities which, to be successful, must attract the young, mobile professionals who fuel the knowledge economy. The Memphis Manifesto will be a call to action for mayors, governors, Congressional representatives, Senators, civic and business leaders who want their cities to be magnets for the creative class. The Memphis Manifesto will be the mandate from the Creative Class for U.S. cities. ___________________________________________ Rekombinant http://rekombinant.org Media Activism http://rekombinant.org/media-activism
