it seems that the systray show stopper has been fixed. if we do run into
problems post-rc1 with the fix, we'll re-open the bug and inform the release-
team. but if you don't hear from us, then no news is good news =)

just finished uploading RC1 tarballs from the tag. Not much testing done yet
myself. note that kdeplasmoids has been renamed to kdeplasma-addons (new
module for 4.1, so we wanted to get the name right before we officially release
it).

After talking on #kde-devel and #phonon today asking whether there was a
release or at least a snapshot for phonon, Thiago Macieira (thiago) told
me to mail you.

No RC1 blockers are aware to me, so I went ahead and created a KDE 4.1 branch
from /trunk, which is now heading towards KDE 4.2. Translations for RC1 will
be taken from /trunk/l10n-kde4, a separate announcement for translations will
follow. I'll have to figure out if its worth keeping KD
