ate versioning doesn't prevent releasing at the same time :)
It allows to release at different times if we want, but for now I don't see an
issue with releasing it with every TP/beta/RC of KF5...

framework-specific, the finding of the module where kdesrc-build puts it,

Do you have all the KDE SC git modules checked out
ct tar.xz narrows it a bit more.
Anyway with zip you don't even have to install anything.

ll.sh script though,
since that's "safe to play with locally" while tagging (and pushing the tags)
is for real, so I'll make it a separate tag_all.sh script.

rce tarballs are .tar.xz, but Windows users would surely
prefer the option
to use .zip files ... which requires another `git archive`, or to zip the
local clone.
In any case - yes, these scripts make a lot of sense, we should work on
automating the tagging,
and I can help with that.

I used to know that stuff from doing the KDE 3.2 release (IIRC), but I assume
a few things might have changed since then :-)

If you're sure that no apps depend on the auto-updating behavior, then by all
means, let's disable that altogether, as soon as possible.

Because this breaks "make install" for developers.
(For the recommended case of installing as user rather than as root).
The default should make it easy for everyone wh
require at least the same version of kdelibs, just in case :-)

In KDE Frameworks 5, you'll be able to just export XDG_CONFIG_DIRS to contain
the directories numbered 2,

All other git modules that are part of kdeutils have a KDE/4.9 branch, but not
print-manager. Is that on purpose?
