Well, not eating chicken in cream sauce "seems quite a stretch" from the ban on seething a kid in its mother milk, but orthodox Jews generally quite sincerely take that stretch. It doesn't seem implausible to me that these people are likewise sincere in interpreting their swami's order this way

How is taking DNA to determine parentage not a medical test? Clearly after Smith there is nothing here other than RFRA. Is forcing a medical test a substantial burden? Not under what a lot of courts seem to be saying of late, though it would be from the parent's position I have no doubt. Wha
