I put the Motran to bed, it's gonna rest in piece. As for the Regency, it might not look impressive inside, but to an IFR, well it made the grade at .02 sensitivity, so until something comes along on the cheap line, as I have spent more money than I should have, I'm gonna use what I have

I've not tried another receiver on the same tower like you have, but I sure would try it. I think you might be pleasantly surprised how some mobile/portable flutter decreases and your receive range increases slightly. It would be a large version of the wireless mike diversity receivers.

I had this happen to our clubs repeater and I traced it to the MOD ADJ pot in the exciter. Some contact cleaner and a few wipes on the pot cured the problem. Also check the pot(s) in the audio card. A scope will find the problem if you can catch it when the deviation (audio) is low. 73, John

I would start checking in 2 areas 1) RF getting into the audio chain or other power/control leads somewhere. Think about adding Ferrite mufflers (made from #43 ferrite) to any audio cables. Place the Ferrite near connectors on both ends. Make sure the power supply and control line leads are
