Yea, like I just answered somebody else, we have about a hundred of them, and the boss said to pitch em. They are in the dumpster as we speak. I kept a couple just because they look so pretty. New, in the box. :) :) Seems there should be SOME use for them. 900 mhz along the coast is pretty useless

Don't know if this'll help but there has been a seller on Ebay selling complete 300 watt Purc 5000 transmitters and he's down to $329.00 for the whole unit and isn't getting any bids. Gary-K7NEY - Original Message - From: "Larry Williams" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Thursday, May 20, 20

Anyone know the value, if any, for 900 mhz pa units that came out of cellular sites. We have about a hundred or so and they have to go. No room. I think I saw a thread for them some time back but didn't pay attention to it. Are they of use? Yahoo! Groups Links <*> To visit your group on t

Does it have the telephone line interface in it? I have one that brought out to the telco interface board for discrete tx and rx audio to be run down two pairs of wires. If it does, I’d be interested in it, what do you want for it? Daron J. Wilson, RCDD  ) ) Telecom Manager

Eric, You might try to add some type of basic rf detection circuit to the PA Module. When the repeater tx fails, see if the PA is receiving the proper drive level. PA Modules are always around, RF Parts is only one of many sources. Since you mention the unit does return to full power, I m

After not receiving any responses for this question I decided to contact Icom to see if they had any ideas. Their response was that there are no parts available for those PAs (either 25 or 50 watt version). So, if you have one, make sure you have adequate protection on the output. I didn't search

RG-142 cable will work very well at VHF, since the loss is much less than at UHF. However, you might consider using RG-400 instead of RG-142, since RG-400 has a stranded (instead of a solid) center conductor. Otherwise, the two cables are identical. For more information on the RG-142 versus RG-4
